Rezzable Productions claims to maintain “the largest public space in the metaverse”, and are the well-respected creators of Greenies, public art, machinima, games and music. Jon Himoff, Founder and CEO of Rezzable Productions, Ltd. talks about his inworld business and his thoughts on Linden Lab®‘s new pricing and policies for open space sims. Virtual worlds experts Nic Mitham of Kzero and Doug Thompson of Remedy Communications Limited and Dusan Writer’s Metaverse join in to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing residents, businesses and developers.

CEO and Founder of Rezzable, Jon believes that web-based virtual worlds are the beginning of a very exciting direction toward the 3D Web, where a new type of interaction with information, content and people will be possible. Further, the avatar will be the essential interface/guide/companion for this dynamic new environment. Rezzable was founded in order to take a lead in establishing engaging users experiences and get the most out of new 3D web platforms as well as web services. Prior to founding Rezzable in 2007, Jon held CEO-roles at enterprise-software development and services companies that delivered innovation solutions via hosted platforms and advanced planning technologies. He is an American national with global business orientation and work experience based in New York, San Francisco and London.

Nic is the founder and CEO of K Zero, a leading virtual worlds strategic consulting agency. After spending 7 years in the telcoms sector and 5 years in advertising agencies, Nic set-up K Zero in 2006. In addition to intensively studying, analysing and interpreting the marketing dynamics of virtual worlds, Nic has also found the time to be father to four young boys who are now employed as beta testers for the growing number of kids/tween virtual worlds.

Doug Thompson is founder and CEO of Remedy Communications, a leading communications agency based in Toronto, Canada which provides innovative brand engagement solutions for a wide range of clients including Pfizer, Genentech, and Nokia. Remedy has affiliated offices in the US and UK.

Doug has been developing Internet-based programs that integrate with traditional marketing channels since the days before Netscape went public. Remedy is strongly focused on virtual worlds and their integration with other media, and has developed a narrative and game engine that integrates with OpenSim, Second Life, and other platforms.

Doug blogs, explores, builds, and otherwise hangs out in virtual worlds under his avatar name Dusan Writer.
