If so, the folks at Virtual World Roadmap special interests group are conducting an online survey to help answer those questions and will focus on the requirements from a technology and service provider standpoint. The survey is open now and will end at midnight on September 11, 2009. You can head to the survey or check out the information forwarded from VWR.

Virtual World Roadmap SIG is currently conducting an online survey in order to:

1) forecast how Virtual Worlds will be used in businesses and other
oganizations in the near future
2) identify user requirements that will foster broader adoption
3) inform technology and service providers interested in this space
4) identify areas where cooperation may be required to achieve the
intended results

The initial results of this survey will be made available by mid-September 2009. The VW Roadmap will conduct a half-day workshop at the Engage Expo conference. The results of the survey and the output of these workshops will be made freely available at: http://virtualworldsroadmap.wikispaces.com/
