Metanomics is still on summer break, but this week at the Metanomics Community Forum we are joined (despite the heat) by Bevan Whitfield and Rose Springvale to explore Community in Virtual Environments. Bevan is a premiere network and community builder and brings that expertise to her many projects and experiences in Second Life. Rose is an attorney irl, and currently serves as the Leader of the Al Andulus regions here in Second Life.Together they have a depth of knowledge and insight that should make for an interesting hour. UWA Professor wins Pearson Prize for Virtual World Study
A/Professor Wade Halvorson (SL: Wad Halberstadt) of the School of Business, University of Western Australia (UWA) has won the Pearson Education Prize for the best Case Study paper at the July 2010 Academy of Marketing Conference. The Academy of Marketing annual conference is the largest academic marketing conference in the United Kingdom, and was held this year at Coventry University Business School.
