While you wait for the official transcript, take a look at this excellent summary by Second Life resident and Metanomics regular Tao Takashi.

Also, my reading of the backchat (see link in main post) is that there is quite a serious cultural divide between Second Life residents and There's management. I encourage you to elaborate on your views in this comment thread.

SL and There business models are obviously quite different--but is there no one in SL who sees a role for a virtual world with managed content? Perhaps we have some Therians who would like to give their own perspective.
